We’re always looking to get more comfortable, aren’t we? Well, pajamas are a good idea, and eco-friendly pajamas, made sustainably from responsibly sourced materials, are the pinnacle of comfort when at home (combine them with eco-friendly slippers). Look for certified organic cotton, bamboo, modal or even vegan silk – colored with non-toxic dyes. Further, if the brand practices fair trade principles and circularity, nothing like it.

What is the best cooling fabric for pajamas? Bamboo is awesome, and really keeps you cool and super comfy during the hot months. In fact, bamboo is a frequent material in organic bedding! But we’ve looked more closely at the top brands in the market for eco-friendly pajamas, and made a shortlist for you:

PrintFresh has some cool collaborations with brands such as Lokal Hotel and Pencil and Paper Co..
Circular fashion | low waste
Is the name Her Nest? I think so! Hernest is making sleepwear that is “uncompromising on comfort and style”. Their products are the end of their almost-circular supply chain (they have a recycling program), and they are striving to become a closed loop supply chain soon. Their size-inclusive designs are stylish, simple, and designed for long-term comfort.

These jogger pants are made of 70% TENCEL™ Lyocell and 30% organic cotton, with an elastic waistband. Minimalist design, stunning colors, cozy material. What more could we want!
Mate The Label Tencel Sleep Pant Review: “I absolutely love these pants. They were my first purchase at Mate the Label and I want them in every color! They’re incredibly comfortable, not too warm, and the pockets are useful. I was worried they may be too long since I’m fairly short, but they’re perfect! It’s also nice to have comfortable sleepwear that’s also stylish :)”
7 // Nest Designs
Designed for Longevity | GOTS-certified | responsibly produced
Canadian brand Nest Designs’ eco-friendly products are inspired by their location in the beautiful Pacific NorthWest. They have lovely collections for men, women, kids, and families. New moms can also try their nursing lines. All the pajamas are made from bamboo or organic cotton.
Nest Designs Bamboo Jersey PJ Set Review: “I love these PJs! I am a Grandma and usually purchase nighties. Decided to change things up and am so glad I did! This fabric feels so soft, gentle and loving next to the skin. I dislike my legs getting tangled up with fabric and was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that is not issue with this fabric. I am finding temperature control an non issue, neither too cold nor too hot. How fantastic is that!! I highly recommend this product!!”

Sustainable Silk Pajamas
Ethically made | fair trade | Block-printed by hand | hypoallergenic
Ethical and cruelty-free practices to extract silk from silkworms? It’s…possible. The Ethical Silk Company makes sustainable silk pajamas from eco-friendly mulberry silk (the silk is extracted after the silkworm leaves the cocoon), and works with fair trade tailors in India to ensure quality and consistency.
Silk has some unique properties that are very good for certain skin conditions, so don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. The products are designed in Ireland, and made in India.
